Rainy book reading day

The weather is going from one extreme to another here, one day it's hot and the next its cold and rainy. I actually prefer cooler days to hot days, they just make me want to relax with a coffee and a good book, but I was in luck today as Miss E decided she wanted to read books to me.
Simple reward sticker chart

Miss E is really reluctant to read any books so I made up a reading chart for her a couple of weeks ago, the challenge was that she had to read 50 books to me and she would receive $5 as a reward. I have not been pushing it and I figured that when she wanted to buy something she would want to earn the money.
 Some of the books

Last night with her pocket money Miss E brought some Lego Friends pets, today she found out she could collect more so she asked if she could read books to me to earn the money. Ha ha Love It :-) Miss E picked the books she wanted to read and she set the goal to read 30 small books to me, it was a huge goal because before if I had asked her to read a book she really complained and struggled to read just one, so to do 30 seemed impossible.

Proud of herself for achieving her goal :-)
I am proud to say that Miss E earned her reward, she struggled but she persevered and accomplished her goal. I loved reading when I was growing up and I do still love to read, so I am hopeful that this was the kick start that she need to find out how much fun reading can be, YEAH!!!
