Quiet Day

Quiet days happen fairly often around here. Days where we just stay home and catch up on all the important things like housework and washing. The last couple of days have been a little crazy, spending the days busy with family and church. Mondays and Fridays are the days that I have nothing scheduled but the last couple of weeks we have been busy on these days, so the house has been let go a little so I need to spend some time catching up with things at home.

Christmas is creeping upon us and yesterday we put up the Christmas tree. Its our tradition to put our tree up on December the 1st, I used to get sick of Miss E asking when we could put the tree up, she used to start asking at the beginning of November. I was thankful that I had just cleaned out the cupboard, so all the decorations and the tree were easy to find. Usually I would have to pull everything out of the cupboards looking for everything.

I have been so busy that I have not finished decluttering the house, like I had planned. I was planning to have a garage sale about the middle of November because I thought I would have all the decluttering done. The plan is now to have the garage sale in 2 weeks time because this coming Saturday, we have a birthday to attend. My lounge room at the moment is piling up with items for the sale, I have had to be really strict with myself and with Miss E because we tend to be collectors and I have found it hard to let things go, especially Miss E baby items, I have shed a few tears over somethings. It will be a relief once the sale is done and with Christmas the week after it will be good to lighten the load.
