Today was a beautiful hot first day of summer, so we packed up and headed to the local beach. With the surf beach only a 10 minute drive away, nearly every hot day this summer is where we plan to be.

| Beautiful evening walk |
Mum and I decided to go for a walk down the beach while my brother and sister in law looked after Miss E as she swam with her cousin. As we walk along we noticed some one had created some sand sculptures. The Indian and the dinosaur were beautiful, no one was around so we don't know who created them, but they were very talented whoever they were.

It was a lovely walk as the heat of the day was easing and we could go for a decent walk without it being to hot in the sun, they only problem was the flies, they were everywhere. The water was cold so the kids only lasted about 30 minutes before they had enough and were ready to leave but they had a good time and it was a great way to spend the first day of summer.
