Crazy Night

Today I have woken up feeling sick with the sorest throat I have had in a long time, feels like I am swallowing razor blades, it has meant that eating food and even drinking my coffee hurts. This afternoon I felt so bad that I even had a nap for 2 hours while Miss E watched her new Scooby-doo movie.

Last night ended up being very eventful, after work which turned out to be great because there were not many kids, I arrived at my parents house to find out that one of the lambs was looking sick. It is the little runt of the triplets, the ewe had started to reject it from have a drink. Being so cold yesterday we brought it inside to warm up near the heater while I prepared a bottle of milk for it. Miss E wanted to care for her so we packed her up and brought her to our home.

I stopped at the supermarket to buy a few items and as we went to leave, I noticed a dog sitting near our car. It was getting close to 10pm and there didn't seem to be an owner nearby, I couldn't just leave it there in case it got hit by a car, so I bundled it into the car as well. Lucky we live about two minutes down the road, it did get a little crazy in the car with the dog and the lamb but we made it home.

We put the stray dog in the backyard and I set up the little lamb in the bathroom. I am happy to say we survived the night, they were both well behaved. This morning I took the dog to the veterinary clinic to check for a microchip, they had just finished put up a lost dog notice for it so they rang the owner to let them know she had been found. The lamb is looking a lot healthier this morning and has been happily munching on my backyard lawn. Cute looking lawn mower!
