Today has been an unusual day, it has been months since I could say that Miss E had her schoolwork completed before lunch. Why does it have to happen at the end of the year when we are nearly finished her books for the year. It was an awesome feeling when I sat down for lunch and realised we had the afternoon free, it made me want to do it everyday. Now I have to remember that feeling next year once holidays have finished.

I have been researching different curriculum for next year, we have been using A.C.E paces for the last 3 years, we like it but I'm looking into other options. New curriculum seems to appear each year, so I have spent the last couple of days on Google, checking out the new options and now I have some decisions to make stay with what we are doing or change some of the subjects.

Tonight we headed over to my parents for dinner, after eating my brother took Miss E and his son for a swim at the pool so I was spoilt with a few hours of free time, I spent the time in my parents garden taking some photos and doing some weeding. After the past couple of hot days everything has grown some much, I even picked our first tomato of the season. It was a much needed break, just to clear my head and stop worrying about schoolwork.
